About

A Rhode Island Security Company Built on Preparation

Rhode Island Security Guards provides armed and unarmed officers, patrols and specialized coverage for properties across the state, with management that stays involved after the contract is signed.

What We Do

We staff and manage security assignments for organizations that own, operate, build or host on Rhode Island property.

That covers a wide range: a lobby officer in a downtown office building, an overnight post on a construction site, a guest-facing officer at a hotel, a gate at a marina, a patrol check on a closed seasonal home, a team for a wedding weekend or a fire watch during a system impairment. The common thread is that each assignment is scoped to the property and run from written instructions.

Clients include the kinds of organizations you would expect in this state: hospitality groups, property managers, general contractors, healthcare and educational institutions, commercial and industrial operators, marinas, associations and private owners. We work statewide, from the Providence metro area to Aquidneck Island and South County.

How We Work

Security fails quietly. An officer who was never told which door matters, a report nobody reads, a schedule that does not match when the property is actually exposed. Most of our effort goes into preventing those failures before the first shift.

We begin with an assessment, agree on the scope, put the instructions in writing, orient the officers, and then stay in contact. When a property changes, such as a new tenant, a construction phase or the end of the season, the coverage changes with it.

What We Do Not Claim

Security officers are not police and do not have police powers by virtue of the job. Armed service is offered only where the assignment, licensing, insurance, staffing and applicable Rhode Island law support it. Emergency and short-notice coverage depends on who is available and where. We would rather be precise about these limits than have a client discover them later.

Operating Principles

  • Assessment before pricing — We learn how the property runs before recommending posts and hours, so the proposal reflects the site and not a template.
  • Written post orders — Every assignment has site-specific instructions covering duties, contacts, escalation and reporting. Clients review them and can change them.
  • Site orientation — Officers are walked through the property, its people and its procedures before working a post alone.
  • Supervision and follow-up — Management reviews reports, checks on posts and adjusts coverage as conditions change.
  • Honest availability — If a schedule, location or requirement cannot be staffed well, we say so rather than overpromise.
  • Respect for limits — Officers are private security personnel. They work within client policy and the law, and they bring in police, fire or EMS when a situation calls for it.
