Rhode Island Expertise

A Small State With Very Different Properties

A downtown lobby, a Newport wedding weekend, a Quonset truck gate and a shuttered beach house in February have little in common. The security plan should not either.

  • Urban offices and mixed use — lobby posts, tenant access and loading docks in downtown Providence and the Jewelry District
  • Healthcare and campuses — visitor screening and patrols that follow shift changes and academic calendars
  • Newport hospitality and events — guest-facing officers, wedding weekends and wharf-side venues
  • Coastal and seasonal residences — visitor management in summer, documented exterior checks in winter
  • Marinas and working waterfronts — dock gates and boatyards from Greenwich Bay to Point Judith
  • Industrial and logistics — truck gates, delivery logs and perimeter patrols at Quonset and along Route 146
  • Construction and renovation — gate control and after-hours presence on tight urban lots and mill conversions
  • Storm preparation and follow-up — pre-storm checks and post-storm exterior inspections within the contracted scope

Summer tourism, university calendars, winter vacancy and coastal storms all change what a property needs from month to month. Staffing is planned with those swings in mind, and island assignments are scheduled around ferry and transportation constraints.

How We Plan Coverage

Service Area

Coverage in Every Rhode Island City and Town

Thirty-nine municipalities across five counties. Choose a community for local property types, planning considerations and the services most often requested there.

How It Works

Four Steps From First Call to Coverage

A structured process that turns your concerns into a working security program.

  1. Property Assessment

We walk the property or review it with you by phone, and learn how it runs hour by hour: who comes and goes, what is exposed, what has gone wrong before.

  2. Customized Plan

You receive a written proposal with recommended coverage, draft post orders and pricing matched to your schedule and season.

  3. Officer Selection and Site Orientation

Officers are matched to the assignment and oriented to your property, contacts and procedures before the first shift.

  4. Deployment, Supervision and Reporting

Coverage begins with management oversight, documented shift and incident reports, and adjustments as the property's needs change.

Why Rhode Island Security Guards

Security Planned Like the Operation It Supports

Good coverage is mostly preparation: the right post, clear instructions, the right officer and someone accountable for all three.

  • Scoped to the property — Coverage starts from how your site operates, so you pay for the posts and hours that matter.
  • Post orders in writing — Officers work from site-specific instructions that you review and can change.
  • Hospitality-minded conduct — On guest-facing posts, officers are part of the experience: presentable, courteous and discreet.
  • One point of contact — Scheduling questions, changes and concerns go to management, and get an answer.
  • Flexible terms — Year-round posts, seasonal programs, single events and temporary coverage, armed or unarmed as the assignment requires.

Our Commitments

What Every Client Can Expect

The standards applied to every assignment, from one overnight post to a season-long program.

Clear Communication

You know who to call, and you hear from us when something needs your attention. Schedule changes and open issues are handled directly with management.

Reporting You Can Use

Shift activity and incidents are documented in plain language: what was observed, what was done and who was notified. Reports are written for the person who has to act on them.

Professional Conduct

Officers arrive presentable and prepared, follow the post orders, and handle people calmly. De-escalation and courtesy come before confrontation.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Coverage is available in all 39 Rhode Island cities and towns across Providence, Kent, Bristol, Newport and Washington counties. Staffing for a specific post depends on the schedule, location and assignment requirements. Block Island assignments are planned separately and well in advance because staffing depends on ferry schedules, transportation and lodging.

  • Yes. Most assignments are unarmed. Armed service is considered when an assignment calls for it and depends on the assignment requirements, licensing, insurance, staffing and applicable Rhode Island law. We discuss which is appropriate during the assessment.

  • Schedules are built around the property: fixed posts, overnight coverage, weekends only, event dates, or patrol visits. Ongoing assignments, seasonal programs and one-time coverage are all available, and changes are made through your management contact.

  • Temporary and emergency coverage is available subject to officer availability, location, licensing, transportation where relevant, and assignment requirements. We do not guarantee response times. The fastest way to find out what is possible is to call 401-289-9900.

  • Hotels and inns, construction sites, office and mixed-use buildings, retail centers, restaurants and venues, marinas and boatyards, residential communities, private estates, healthcare facilities, campuses, and industrial and warehouse properties.

  • Officers document each shift and any incidents. The format, frequency and recipients are set in the post orders, so property managers, owners or boards receive the level of detail they need.

  • No. Security officers are private personnel. They observe, report, control access and de-escalate within the client's policies and the law, and they call police, fire or EMS when a situation requires it.

  • Submit the Request a Proposal form or call 401-289-9900. We will ask about the property, schedule and concerns, arrange an assessment where useful, and follow up with a written scope and pricing.
